- You will assist the Director of Surgical Services with all department activities to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities with the long range plan, mission, vision, and values of the facility.
- You will assist in coordinating the department’s participation in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement.
- You will ensure that nursing care is based on the nursing process and evaluates the effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
- You will provide clinical support to the nursing staff.
- You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key skills; Circulator with a minimum of 3 years experience as a CVOR RN Circulator.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
- MUST HAVE RECENT (Within the last year) acute care 2 years of leadership experience in the CVOR with at least 5 years experience as OR Circulator with a minimum of 3 years experience as a CVOR RN Circulator
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification is required.
- CNOR is preferred.
- Must have at least 5 years experience as OR Circulator with a minimum of 3 years experience as a CVOR RN Circulator.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
- BSN & CVOR certification required.
- BLS & ACLS required.
- Administrative Call Required, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
- May be required to function as CVOR RN and/or Scrub Tech based on staffing and case volumes.
- Must be very skilled in nursing/communications
- Must have at least 5 years experience as OR Circulator with a minimum of 3 years experience as a CVOR RN Circulator.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
